Training & Qualification Services

At Mapalim, we believe in quality and innovation. Our training, development and qualifications programmes enable individuals to achieve and move forward, learning new skills and acquiring knowledge relevant to their current or potential job role. Mapalim’s expert team of trainers, development workers and assessors are specialists in meeting the diverse needs our learners. We are commited to ensuring that our staff are experts in their field and remain so through an exemplary programme of continuing professional development.

Mapalim is regularly involved with a number of projects and initiatives to support the National Sector Development of the Early Years, Play and Youth sectors. These include re-writing the NVQ levels 2, 3 and 4 in CCLD, NVQ level 3 in Playwork and developing a level 4 NVQ. We have supported work on cross-sector development and served on the Joint Project Steering Group for Play and Early Years.

We have recently landed a range of Business and Administration qualifications, working closely with local authorities to provide the highest level of training and support. We have an excellent track record with local authorities, delivering programmes across the range of services. For example, in The London Borough of Camden our qualification programme has enabled their Play Service to achieve the UK’s highest level of qualified playworkers. In the last two years over 90 individuals within Camden Play Service have gained a play qualification. They now have over 80% of their staff, across more than 30 centres, qualified.

We deliver a range of NVQs, VRQs and accredited training. Our innovative approach to NVQs means that as much evidence as possible is collected by the assessor through live performance, thus reducing the burden on candidates. We work towards paperless portfolios and use an inspiring recording system, which means no cross-referencing and no forms. We also have extensive experience in supporting others to develop and maintain their own in-house training and development programmes. Custom design bespoke training
Our expert team can build, develop and deliver custom training to suit your needs and requirements. This could be a one off session such as an induction to your service or it could be an entire 30-week programme linked to various strands of carrying out a practitioner or management role within the sector.

Train to Gain at Mapalim

Train To Gain (TTG) is a government scheme to work in partnership with employers to ensure businesses remain competitive in the marketplace by having adequately trained staff.
