We want people to experience the culture around them, whatever their age, background and identity. So, we have created a new department that aims to engage with the community through a range of cultural services in North London.

The Cultural Programme
Extending our existing community programme, we have created a new range of activities, courses and events that will enable people from all sections of the community to engage with diverse art forms and cultural experiences with their community as a whole.

The Cultural Programme includes:

• Workshops and courses across the arts
• Arts therapy
• Community learning and development activities
• Dance performances
• Live music events
• Theatre productions
• Poetry readings
• Networking events

The Parlour Studios and Project Space hosts the Cultural Programme, and acts as a meeting place for artists and community groups. This is a space for people to experience different aspects of culture, and for creative practitioners to network and collaborate, with ongoing support and advice.

parlour n. ( from the French parler "to speak"), 1. denotes an "audience chamber”. 2. A living room that is set aside for guests. 3. A room or set of rooms equipped for a specific line of business (often used in combination). 4. The Parlour Studios
We have established a collaborative project that invites creative practitioners from diverse arts disciplines to work together or separately in an on-site studio space. The work produced culminates in exhibitions and live performances at The Parlour Studios and Project Space, throughout the year, as part of the Cultural Programme.
