• What is an NVQ?
  An NVQ is a work-based qualification which recognises good practice by assessing the skills, knowledge and understanding exclusive to a specific job role. At Mapalim we have developed a system of assessment, based wherever possible on observation, leaving candidates free to concentrate on achieving their qualification as quickly and easily as possible.

• How Much Does it Cost?
  Mapalim have recieved funding as part of the Government's Train to Gain scheme to deliver NVQ’s across a wide range of sectors in London and the South East.This means that as long as you are eligible you can gain an NVQ qualification for free.

• Eligibility?
  Mapalim can offer free NVQ’s at level 2, 3 and 4 to anyone over the age of 19, in employment, self employed or volunteers. Candidates must have resided in the UK for the previous 3 years. If this does not apply to you Mapalim may be able to find funding for you through a different source, so do not hesitate to get in contact with us. All of our training is work based, so the only other eligibility criteria is that you are working or volunteering in the area in which you wish to gain the qualification.

• How to Apply ?
  If you would like to undertake the NVQ with Mapalim please contact our Engagement Team, at NVQ@mapalim.com or on the number below, and one of our representatives will be able to take you through the next stages in the application. If you know what qualification you wish to apply for, you may download the relevant documents from the NVQ list and email the back at the above address.

• What's Next?
  Once you have completed the application form you will be assigned an assessor. The assessor will visit you at your work place at a time that is convenient to you. They will watch you while you are completing your job and gather evidence for the NVQ in a variety of formats including observation, professional discussion and examples of work. Our assessors are fully qualified experts in the field and so are able to provide one-on-one coaching and training when required. The work based nature of the training means that the majority of candidates complete the NVQ in 3-6 months, which is far quicker than undertaking the same qualification at a college or university.
